The entry requirements for the postgraduate program at Tampere University are listed below:

English Proficiency Requirements for Post Graduate at Tampere University, Finland

Students applying for a master’s degree need to provide proper evidence of their language proficiency test as the medium of instruction will be in English. You can either prove your proficiency level with the various language proficiency tests or through your previous studies.

The Tampere University of Technology accepts the TOEFL/IELTS/PTE scores as the language proficiency test.

Students are exempt from taking the language proficiency test if the student produces the required MOI certificate.

The following are some of the basic entry requirements that need to be followed when a student wants to get into Tampere University.

• A language competency test needs to be taken. The medium of instruction that is imparted to the students is in English. They need to prove their proficiency level by taking the IELTS/TOEFL/PBT exams. Tampere University also recognizes scores from the C1 Advanced and C2 proficiency exams.

Tuition Fee At Tampere University for International Students

Students are supposed to pay tuition fees for non-European students studying in Bachelor’s and Master’s programs.

• The Bachelor’s program tuition fees range from €6000 to €10000.

• The Master’s program tuition fee is €12000.

The above-said Tuition fees are applicable for students who have been admitted after 2017.

English Proficiency Requirements for Tampere University, Finland

English proficiency needs to be provided by the students who want to enroll in any program at Tampere University. The following points need to be kept in mind while taking the language proficiency by the students. At the University of Tampere, the students are allowed to either take the language proficiency test or prove their proficiency level with their previous education.

The Tampere University of Technology accepts the TOEFL/IELTS/PTE scores as the language proficiency test.

The TOEFL test needs to be reported to the University of Tampere with the institutional code of 9871. Tampere University will verify the reliability of the scores using the ETS online verification system.

The IELTS score carries a validity period of 2 years after the test date. The TRF number of the application form needs to be given and the IELTS certificate needs to be uploaded online.

The PTE also carries a validity period of 2 years. You need to provide the Score Report Code (SRC) on the application form and upload the PTE certificate online.

Apart from the above-mentioned scores, you can also submit the C1 Advanced and C2 proficiency that is conducted by Cambridge. You need to provide the ID number and the reference number of the same.

Exemptions from Taking Language Proficiency Test

Students are exempt from taking the language proficiency test under the following conditions.

• If he/she has completed her higher secondary/bachelor’s degree with the medium of instruction in English. However, the student must have completed the degrees only on campus.

• If he/she has completed the above-mentioned degree in other languages then at least 50% of the courses must have been taught in English.
